 How long does it take before I receive the copy of my family register?
A
After we receive the authorization letter and other documents at our office, our request will be mailed to the postal address of each municipal office, so it usually takes about two weeks to one month.

Can I pay via any means other than credit card (for instance PayPal)?
A

Yes, you can. We also accept PayPal and remittances to our bank accounts and post office accounts in Japan.

What is removal from family register?
A
A copy of the family register that shows the removal of any family members due to death, marriage, adoption, etc. If every family member is removed from the register, it's called "the removal from the family register". Additional fee of 300 yen will be charged for requesting such a copy.

Can I apply for the service even if I do not have a copy of my family register?
A

You can apply for our service without a copy of your family register. The reason we request a copy is to prevent you from making a mistake when you fill in the name of the registered domicile and head of the family register. If you do not attach a copy of your family register, please be careful not to confuse your current address and registered domicile. If you fill out the form incorrectly, the request might be rejected at the municipal office.

I opened an office in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 2014, which specializes in obtaining copies of family register on behalf of our customers.
